- West Coast: This territory would cover: CA, WA, OR, NV, AZ, UT, CO, NM, ID, MT, WY
- South: This territory would cover: FL, GA, TX, LA, AR, WV, OK, KS
- East Coast: This territory would cover ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA, NC, SC

3x Regional TSS Functional Roles:
The BUHLMANN Diagnostics Corp Regional Technical Sales Specialist plays a critical role in providing technical sales expertise for diagnostic assays across their territory. This position combines consultative sales knowledge with advanced technical proficiency to ensure optimal customer satisfaction, product implementation, and business growth while driving new development and supporting existing customer relationships. This person will be responsible for managing and expanding business in a target region, managing accounts, managing and improving customer relationships, improving profitability of accounts, handling first line service, identifying new opportunities to increase BUHLMANN market shares.
Objectives of the Job:
- Full revenue responsibility for the regional sales, including forecasting and target performance achievement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to achieve annual sales objectives.
- Prepare and execute regular customer business reviews.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, supporting account expansion and product adoption.
- Collaborate with partner account executives during customer meetings, demos, and validations.
- Manage customer inquiries, leads, and technical complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and deliver effective product presentations and training sessions for customers, internal teams, and partners.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications and opportunities within the CRM system.
- Attend industry conferences and events to promote products, develop new business, and engage with current customers.
- Participate in strategic account management activities, including forecasting, contract renewals, and long-term planning.
- Manage and drive the development of their accounts, including key activities such as strategic account management and post-sales implementation.
- Build the funnel of opportunities and drive the acquisition of new customers.
- Manage routine renewals of base business accounts and negotiate long-term contracts.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to customers.
- Oversee progress of cross-functional implementation team (post-sale) with project manager.
- Success in this role is measured by service level achievement, economic profitability, customer satisfaction score (NPS), contract renewal rate and managed revenue.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or Commercial field required; degree in clinical or laboratory sciences preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years track record in the medical diagnostic industry with an emphasis on managing and expanding existing accounts/territory, managing and improving customer relationships and improving profitability of accounts/territory.
- Experience with clinical chemistry analyzers and immunoassays preferred.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist (ASCP) certification preferred.
- Sales or Commercial experience within the diagnostics or laboratory technology industry is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a commitment to quality and compliance.

Work & Travel Requirements:
- This is a full-time, salaried position with standard benefits, including 401(k), health, and dental insurance, and 20 days of PTO annually.
- Role is based within the United States, preferably near a major transportation hub.
- Position may require up to 75% travel within the U.S. and limited international travel (e.g., 1-4 times per year).
- Ability to pass a background check; Valid U.S. passport required; TSA PreCheck or Global Entry recommended.
- Reports directly to the Sales Director.
